After the success of last month’s inaugural English Deep Stack Poker Championship in Luton, D4 Events have already unveiled plans for a second championship, to played later on this year. The event will be held at Birmingham’s Broadway Casino, and will commence on the 15th of September 2011. The Main Event will cost a wallet-stripping £550 to enter, capping at just 400 players. Each player will start the tournament with 50,000 chips.
The first English Deep Stack Poker Championship was won back in March by Ladbrokes worker Amy Trodd, who walked away from the event a healthy £25,000 richer. Trodd was already known in the UK for her strong presence in the UK poker circuit. In order to secure first place, she beat Italian pro Pino Valentino heads-up, walking away with a win on home-soil for England.
In addition to the Main Event there will also be a series of side events, some of which are not quite so denting to the old bank account. A full list of confirmed games can be seen here:

Thurs 15th September at 1pm – English Deepstack Main Event £550 – Day 1A.
Fri 16th September at 1pm – English Deepstack Main Event £550 – Day 1B.
Sat 17th September at 8pm – £300 Side Event 15,000 chips, 40 min clock, 2 Day Event.
Sun 18th September at 2pm – £200 Side Event 10,000 Chips, 30 min Clock, 1 day event.
