Genting Poker Series Stopping Off in Edinburgh

Genting Poker SeriesThe third leg of the Genting Poker Series (GPS) arrives in Scotland today, with the tour stopping off in capital city Edinburgh.

The Genting Club will see the first of two opening-day flights into the £430 buy-in No-Limit Hold’em main event start tomorrow at 13:00 BST (British Summer Time), with the second starting at the same time on Friday.

Organisers expect to see at least 600 players start the main event, with competitors starting out with 25,000 chips on a 60-minute clock for the three-day tournament.

The first tournament, however, is a £22 buy-in rebuy satellite at 20:00 BST today that guarantees five seats into the main event, while £46 buy-in single table tournaments (STTs) run on demand.

There are also a number of other tournaments on offer, with buy-ins starting at £55 for event #7 – a No-Limit Hold’em Megastack Turbo Re-Entry – on Sunday, as well as £160 for entry into event #6, a No-Limit Hold’em Re-Entry competition, on Saturday.

The series then stops off in Stoke-On-Trent (leg 4, August 1 to 5), Sheffield (leg 5, November 21 to 25) and London’s The Palm Beach Casino (leg 7, December 5 to 9), while there is also the Genting Poker Online event as leg 6 that runs from September 27 to 30.
