It’s been a great start to the 2010 GUKPT as leg one kicked off in Bolton with a 2 day £150 freeze out, 189 players were on hand to take part and create a prize pool of £28,350. Event one was won Steve Holdem fromTelfod who scoop £8240 and a seat to the Champion of Champions event. Second place was non other than Lawrence Gosney, Gosney from Leeds is as you probably know a WSOP bracelet winner when taking down a $2000 No limit holdem tournament in 2005 and netting $482.195 in the process.

It’s a fantastic start to the 2010 GUKPT and the big names are out in force already, the main event begins today (Thursday) you can qualify online at Bluesq poker for the gukpt events for now. Soon however the sponsorship is moving, more on this at a later date!
