PokerStars are hosting another mega-satellite to Event 40 of World Championships of Online Poker (WCOOP) this weekend. The $22.00 buy-in freezeout NL Hold´em tournament starts at 6.00pm (BST) on Sunday and continues until 500 players remain – each of whom will win seats to one of the most highly anticipated events of the WCOOP series.
The WCOOP Event 40 – $1 Million Guaranteed!
Event 40 (of 62) in the WCOOP is a $215.00 buy-in freezeout NL Hold´em tournament with a guaranteed prize pool of $1 million. It takes place on September 18th at 5.00pm (BST) and is expected to have a total entry in excess of 5,000 players, including many of Team PokerStars professional players.
With such a large field, the tournament is being played over two days – so don´t register if you have to work on Monday 19th September. Thirty-three 20 minute levels are scheduled to be played on Sunday (play is going to finish on Day 1 about 5.00am in the morning) and the event resumes at 3.00pm (BST) on Monday afternoon, continuing until a champion is crowned.
How to Register for the PokerStars WCOOP Mega-Satellite
If you are not already a PokerStars player, click on the link below to download the free software (Windows and Mac compatible) and create your PokerStars account. Your first three deposits within a 90 day period entitle you to a 100% match bonus of up to $600.00 (about £360.00 in real money) and it is not impossible to clear this quickly in order to boost your bankroll.
Existing client should click on “Events” in the PokerStars lobby, select “WCOOP” and then “Cash Satellites”. You can scroll down by date until you get to the event (if your clock is still set to PokerStars/Eastern time the tournament starts at 13.00) or search for tournament ID Nº 421657273. It is likely to be the tournament in this panel with the highest number of entries, so you should not fail to spot it.
Future WCOOP Mega-Satellites
Future mega-satellites are scheduled for a number of events in the WCOOP series which starts on September 4th, but we know for a fact the one which is going to be hosted next weekend (August 28th) only qualifies you for Event 19 – a $109 buy-in NL Hold´em event with a smaller guaranteed prize pool. If you want to take advantage of possibly the best satellite opportunity in the PokerStars WCOOP series, get involved with this weekend´s mega-satellite.
