The Grosvenor UK Poker Tour is coming back for another year of world class high-stakes tournament action.
The GUKPT is comprised of 8 stops with the Champion of Champions Grand Final festival held in London, England.
The 2010 GUKPT started in January with GUKPT Bolton and continued in February with GUKPT Walsall. The next event is the first GUKPT London stop on the series (the second being the Grand Final itself), both taking place at Grosvenor Victoria Casino. This stop runs March 18 – 28, with the main event starting on March 25 for a £1,500 buy-in.
After that will be the GUKPT Manchester event at G Casino Bury New Road on April 17 – 25, with the April 22 main event having a £1,000 buy-in.
In addition to the main Grosvenor UK Poker Tour are the following side events.
There’s the GUKPT Summer Series, started in 2009, which has since explanded to include 10 minifestivals running between May and August at various UK casinos. These events offer lower buy-ins, but don’t lack in quality playing fields and high-stakes structure.
There are the GUKPT Club Championships, a series of daylong tournaments with £200 buy-ins, happening across 23 Grosvenor and G casinos.
We see this as an excellent move by the organisers offering a lower buyin than the main tour but with the same high quality fields and structures!
The GUKPT Grand Final takes place November 18 – 28 at Grosvenor Victoria Casino in London and has a £2,500 buy-in.
The Champion of Champions Festival takes place December 1 – 5 at G Casino in Coventry and is an invitational event.
