Vicky Coren Uk Poker PlayerBeautiful London girl Victoria Coren has revealed she will be missing the European Poker Tour San Remo, so she can sit at home and watch the upcoming Royal Wedding later this month. Speaking with the PokerStars Blog, the pro player has said she can’t wait to watch it.

Aside from being a member of the PoksrStars Pro team, she is also a columnist for The Guardian and commentator for The Observer newspapers. A regular feature on the poker circuit around Britain, she is also one of our highest-earning female players, appearing in events around the world when her hectic schedule allows.

The 38 year old said she is looking forward to seeing Kate and Wills get hitched, but stated that she will probably have to write something about it on the day, so will be laying off the booze. In thoroughly British fashion, it will be “tea and cucumber sandwiches all the way.”

As well as her poker success Coren is also a celebrated TV presenter, broadcaster and journalist in the UK. She does admit, however, that her commitments in London prevent her travelling as much as many other poker professionals, and she plays regular cash games to compensate. These she cites as her “bread and butter.”

In other activities, the quirky girl has also tried her hand at pornography directing, in conjunction with her friend and co-author Charlie Skelton. However, she does admit that she draws the line after one (failed) attempt, called The Naughty Twins. The fruits of her labour were tied together and released as a book – Once More, with Feeling: How We Tried to Make the Greatest Porn Film Ever. The book accounts the time spent researching and shooting the film. Coren has also appeared on several popular British T.V. panel shows including The Wright Stuff, The Bubble, Question Time and Have I Got News For You.

Speaking as to the Royals, Coren has stated that she wouldn’t fancy taking on our future Queen Kate in a heads-up match as “she looks like a canny one.”
